Our cosy alpine hut is located on a romantic high plateau, around 1.5 hours' walk from the Steffner-Wallner family hotel in the historic centre of Mauterndorf. Here you can enjoy an unspoilt break away from the hustle and bustle and discover the nature of the Lungau Biosphere Reserve.
The Steffner-Wallner Alm at 1800m offers you the perfect retreat. We are happy to take you directly to the hut on request. The rustic hut is equipped with a large living/dining room, a tiled stove, sofa, dining area and a spacious bathroom with shower. The terrace, surrounded by the mountain scenery, invites you to linger. Here you can barbecue and enjoy fresh spring water. The hut can accommodate up to 10 people in two double rooms, two single rooms and one four-bed room.
Overnight stays are only possible on request!
Every Tuesday morning, our trained mountain guide Hansi takes you on a guided hike to the alpine pasture. Join him on this unforgettable tour and experience the hidden treasures of the Lungau.
